Preserving the 20th Maine
We maintain the material reality of the 1860s soldier. Through authentic uniforms, attention to detailed and accurate equipment, and rigorous training, we keep the legacy of the infantry volunteers alive in New Brunswick.

The Discipline of Drill
We train strictly by the historical manuals , following in the footsteps of those who served in the original 20th Maine regiment. Every maneuver, from forming company lines to live black-powder firing demonstrations, is executed with absolute historical fidelity.
Our public displays are designed to allow the audience to experience the heavy tramp of brogans and bring the smell of sulfur to life, offering an uncompromising look at battlefield coordination.
Authenticity in Every Thread
Every piece of equipment carried by our members is subject to rigorous inspection to ensure it meets strict 1860s military guidelines.
